A-coating SiC heating elements
SiC heating elements have high porosity (about 23%), so SiC is slowly oxidized at high temperatures, SiO2 generated from materials, then resistance of elements gradually increased (aging). Generally, SiO2 protective film on the surface of heating elements will prevent from further oxidization due to the presence of oxygen.

Coating type: A coating
Appearance: Black with glassy luster
Use: SiC heating elements have high porosity (about 23%), so SiC is slowly oxidized at high temperatures, SiO2 generated from materials, then resistance of elements gradually increased (aging). Generally, SiO2 protective film on the surface of heating elements will prevent from further oxidization due to the presence of oxygen. But trace amount of water vapor has significant oxidization effects on heating elements, with the reaction equation as follows:
SiC+ 4H2O →SiO2+ CO2+ 4H
In order to extend the service life and slow down aging, we have developed A coating SiC heating elements, with a dense quartz glass film on the surface, just similar to the glaze layer on the ceramic surface, covering surface pores and reducing the oxidization of heating elements by oxygen and vapor. The service life of heating elements is extended by more than 30% in furnaces where there is oxidizing gas and vapor.
A-Coating Silicon Carbide (SiC) heating elements are engineered for high-performance heating applications, delivering exceptional efficiency and durability. These elements are designed to operate at temperatures up to 1600°C, making them ideal for demanding environments such as industrial furnaces, kilns, and semiconductor processing.
The unique A-coating technology enhances the oxidation resistance of SiC heating elements, significantly extending their lifespan even in harsh conditions. This coating not only improves durability but also ensures consistent heating performance, reducing maintenance costs and downtime in production processes.
A-Coating SiC heating elements provide rapid heat-up and cool-down times, allowing for precise temperature control and improved process efficiency. Their robust design enables them to withstand thermal shock and mechanical stress, making them a reliable choice for various applications.
Available in different shapes and sizes, these heating elements can be tailored to meet specific installation requirements. Their compatibility with various atmospheres, including vacuum and inert environments, further broadens their application range.
